Hello,

My name is Joël Prenovault, and I am a studying to become an ESL teacher at Concordia University. Since I am, in Language acquisition terms, a «simultaneous bilingual»*, I am very interested in the close links between language and identity.  Because of my musical background as  a composer and a jazz bass player, I see strong links between language and rhythm. I am also fascinated by how we learn languages, how these languages  affect our outlook on the world, and how much culture a language carries within its very fiber.
